The homepage for the Sesame Street website. All bright, blocky colours. Imagery is dominante, with very little text. The target audience for this seems to be very young 0-5. The video begins immediatly to get the childs attention. The buttons are all colour coded, with big bright images. The imagery on these buttons are more eye-catching than the text, as some of the children may not be able to read, but they will still be able to navigate by looking at the images.

The Games page for the site is bright and colourful. Most of the games seem to be educational, as are most things for very young children. This is done so that children can learn in a fun way without realising that they are actually learning. The illustrations are simpler than ones seen in sites aimed at older children.

There is a Muppets page on the sites that introduces the children to all the characters. Each character is very different; having their own unique handwritting, showing their personality through their pose in the image & there is a different colour behind each character. This shows the child how different each individual is. The pointer is also a star on this website & burst of light come from it when it is rolled over a link. This makes it more appealing for children.

When the link is clicked it gives the child more information about their favourite character, again stressing the inividuality of each character/person. It also helps to make the characters more believable. From here the child can also get to the characters games etc. This is a clever idea as the child is ovbisouly intrested in this character & may want to play the games where this chacter is central or helping them.
